Mixed-Faith Wedding (Catholic-Jewish) Update

We have had meetings with Father Gerald (from St. Raphaels) every weekend since April and we still haven't finished our 'Catholic Church Drama'. We were hoping last weekend Father Gerald would give us the paperwork we need but he said we still need a couple more meetings once he has one more form to be signed by the Bishop. Apparently he was NOT SATISFIED with the Pre-Cana we had with Peter McFadden and he decided to 'coach' another preparation himself. He has been giving us tests, quizzes, one on one chats and pretty much going all 9 yards with the Pre-Cana. I'm not complaining or anything (I'm glad he's been helping us), I just don't think it was necessary to put my Jewish husband through 2 Pre-Cana Courses.

PS: I'll be back soon with more updates on the Catholic Church matter and also on Immigration matters (we have another appointment with our lawyers this week)

PS2: All the detailed info about the Pre-Cana Course (phone #s, addresses, etc) you can find in my 'Mixed-Faith Wedding (Catholic-Jewish)' Post!

KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR US :)

Hey there, Father Gerald called us this weekend (July 4th 2011) to schedule (what appears to be) our last Pre-Cana Class! I'll be back with the updates on that in a couple of weeks! :)

Hello there, we finally finished our Pre-Cana Prep at St. Raphael's this weekend (July 30th 2011) and Father Gerald was the best! He made everything very easy for us (even though we had to have intensive prep because my Husband is Jewish)!
So that's it for us with the Catholic Church, all the papers were already mailed (FINALLY) and we can start to worry only about the reception details and our interview at the USCIS Office.
