Finally, we got a letter from immigration with the date and time for my fingerprint's appointment. I'm very excited because the process is developing faster than we expected. The appointment will be in three weeks so, keep your fingers crossed for us! I'll come back with updates once we get the letter following the appointment! :)
So, I had my Biometrics taken yesterday (07/27/2011). At first I was very nervous because I had no idea how simple it all is. My appointment was suppose to be at 3pm (in Elizabeth City NJ) but I thought if I got there earlier it could be something like 'first come first served' and I was right! I took the TRENTON train at NY Penn Station around noon (it's the 4th stop) and I got there at 1:30pm (the office is 450f from the train station) and everyone was very nice to me.
My docs got checked by 3 people and I had to fill out another form, everything was done pretty smoothly and fast though. Obviously by that point I was far from nervous. They gave me a number and there were 16 people ahead of me in the waiting room but it only took 15min and my number was up. It takes about 5min for the Biometrics to be taken and that was it!
I don't know if it was because my bday is 3 days away or what but the staff was extremely nice and everyone wished me 'Happy Birthday'.
Now let's keep our fingers crossed so the letter with our interview date comes asap! I'll keep you posted! :)
